Windows installer for Dexpot?

I heard great things about Dexpot but haven't had any luck using it.
Windows installer is trying to configure Office 2003 whenever I try to run Dexpot which is unrelated and unnecessary. Any suggestions? Is there a reason for some kind of a conflict?

I had to uninstall/install Office 2003 because all of my office applications were trying to start-up the installer, which is really annoying. I'm not sure what during Dexpot install might have caused the problem. Any help/suggestion would really be appreciated.

Hi,

your problem sounds strange. Never heard something like that caused by Dexpot. After your uninstall/install Office 2003 does Dexpot now work?
Dexpot normally doesn't change anything on other programs.

Thank you Nebel for your response. I have not tried Dexpot again. I'm a bit hesitant to do so after what has happened. I'll try again though and let you know.

It might be something to do with ZoneAlarm. I've read in some other program forums (dopus) that there could be a conflict with ZA.

anyone have a cause/solution for this yet?
my girlfriend is having the same issue of something wanting to install something relates to MS office pro 2003. i was raving about the program, and so far have little no no gripes...she however is mad that she cant get it to run at all

has the coder inadvertently linked to a .dll on his/her local machine, this is all i can think that cause a totally unrelated program to start

this is a bug caused by the office installer and is not related to Dexpot.
Try un-, then installing Office again.

Helped in my case (happened to me with Office 2000 some years ago).
