Hi,
Dexpot is a great program. No doubt i would pay for it. But i have a question:
The program's dll "hooxpot.dll" loads itself into any program executed, including internet browsers and so. The dll may catch the input from this programs. This is identified by some firewalls as a possible security hazard that hooxpot is hijacking the program.
Can you give some details why is it needed for hoxxpot to load itself in every program loaded? is it secure?
Thank you, and congrats for the great software you wrote.
Is hooxpot.dll secure?
Re: Is hooxpot.dll secure?
Nmorgen.
It doesn't. It gets loaded into the context of other processes by the Windows hooking mechanism. Dexpot uses a global hook to track the creation of new windows. This is essential for the Desktop Rules and some other features as well.
