Re: Firefox ver 29.0 missing switch desktop menu option

:dex: You can right-click on the Minimize, Maximize, Close buttons in the top right corner to open the system menu with the Dexpot commands. Right-clicking on the system menu buttons did not work for me. Had to open 'Customize..' by right-clicking on frame and selecting 'Title bar' in the lower lef...

Re: Firefox 8 problem

I did that for 1690 and no difference - no improvement :-( I will try some other version as I get a chance OK, here are the results of my rather quick & dirty testing on a Win 7 laptop: 1.5.9 works as expected 1.5.10 works " " 1.5.11 no right-click menu - does not move FF panels 1.5.12...

Re: Firefox 8 problem

I've re-installed Dexpot build 1721 under Win7 and FWIW, build 1721 does not produce a right-click menu at all.
Neither does 1.5.12 build 1690
1690 moves other windows from one screen to another, but not FF 8.0.1 windows

Re: Firefox 8 problem

From what I recall, the menu appears, but the "move" does nothing.

If it will help, I can try to reinstall 1777 on one machine for a short time, though unfortunately I will be away from the Kbd for most of the afternoon - probably the next 6 - 8 hrs.

Re: Firefox 8 problem

Assuming you are asking about moving the FF panels:
I did as I always have done thus far by right-clicking on the top bar and using the dropdown menu to get the Dexpot submenu.

Re: Firefox 8 problem

Well, it looks like it actually is a Dexpot problem.

After installing FF 8.0.1 on the Win 7 machine - running Dexpot 1.5.8 Build 1434 everything works as expected.

Reverting back to Dexpot 1.5.8 Build 1434 on the Vista machine and installing FF 8.0.1 there again, it too works as expected.

Firefox 8 problem

Yesterday I upgraded my old Firefox 3.?? to the latest 8.0.1 and found that Dexpot no longer was able to move any of the Firefox panel to any other screen, though at one point I had what looked like duplicate panels on at least two Dexpot screens. Same problem with Firefox 7.0.1. I quickly gave up a...

Icons scrambled on start-up

This problem has plagued me now for as long as I can remember and over the past couple of days I did a bit more investigating. I'm running Vista 64-bit Home Premium with Dexpot 1.5.8, build 1434 with a dual monitor setup, both monitors are LCD with 1920x1080 (native) resolution. Currently I am runni...

Feature Request

Include the date along with the time in the dexpot log file.

I'm trying to understand the when and why of my occasionally lost or moved icons so I have turned on the log file. It is good as far as it goes, but the date would certainly help, especially for log for a week or more.

Re: Vista problem

Guess I forgot to log-in for my previous answer. In addition, installing the latest build, also lost all but one icon off screen one. Although 'lost' might be not entirely accurate, since trying to add one particular icon forced its name to have the appendix (2), implying that the icon/link still wa...

Re: Vista problem

Having two Dexpot processes on x64 Windows is normal. That is good to know. Do the system menu entries appear twice on absolutely all windows? Are the commands from both sets of entries working? Try disabling and re-enabling the system menu option in the Dexpot settings (appearance). Th system menu...

Vista problem

I have been having problem with icons on my screen 1 for some time. I have now removed all screen icon saver programs and after removing dexpot altogether, rebooting and re-installing it, I now have a rather curious problem. When I right-click on a window frame, Dexpot shows up twice in the context ...

Icons disappear from startup screen - still

Running Dexpot 1.4.2, build 691 with Vista Home Edition Premium in dual-monitor mode; the main display is a LG LCD monitor with 1680x1050 wides-screen resolution, in case it matters. The secondary display is an analog monitor with 1280x1024 resolution. Several times now, the main screen has lost som...

Icons remain on main screen after move

I've just down loaded the latest version 1.4.2 build 691. It seems to work OK on my Vista64 system, but on my XP machine, the icons I had wanted moved to other screens move there, but also still show on the main screen. BTW, I stopped and uninstalled the old version of dexpot, since otherwise I get ...

restoring windows to proper desktop on start-up.

I very much like Dexpot and kudos to the developers. I've used it with WinXP/SP2 for a couple of month and I'm impressed. The only thing I miss is the ability to restore my open file explorer windows to the desktop they were on when I shut down. If this is an available feature, I have missed it. ':o...
