I'm surprised that not even exiting Dexpot restores those lost windows.
This is happening too often for me. I'm going to have to turn off Dexpot for now. I'll be glad to try test builds as soon as they're available.

Re: dexpot loses my windows
Now I just saw it happen with my Eclipse window. That is the worst case impact for me. Restarting Eclipse takes several minutes (too much stuff), and I see no way to get the window back once it disappears.

Re: dexpot loses my windows
This is also a symptom that hits me a lot, although with a specific application. I'm currently on "1805-wk2+ppp", with Win7. I have the flag enabled to put all the icons on the task bar, no matter what desktop they are on. With that, I can see the preview for the missing window. I thought ...

Re: build 1805-wk2 causes a window to restore on every switc
The other problem I was looking at was the issue with PowerPoint ignoring all keys after a desktop switch, which I believe I was talking to you about in private email.
Here's the log file. I first truncated the file, and then waited until I saw the symptom, which only took a few seconds.

build 1805-wk2 causes a window to restore on every switch
I just installed build 1805-wk2 on top of 1805 to see if it fixed some particular issue (which it did not, unfortunately), and now I'm seeing a new issue that I didn't see before. I use SysInternal's Process Explorer, but I keep it minimized most of the time. After installing 1805-wk2, I'm finding t...

Re: Dexpot very confused about Eclipse window
Hmm. I exited Dexpot and then ran this version. All the menus and labels are German, and the list of plugins/extras were empty. I can't do much with this.

Re: Dexpot very confused about Eclipse window
Ok, I'll install that version tomorrow afternoon (I have to give a demo tomorrow, so I'm not going to make any changes to my environment until that is done) and give it a try.

Dexpot very confused about Eclipse window
Version 1.5.99, Build 1805. Win7. I just saw Dexpot get very confused about my Eclipse window. I have a 3x3 grid of desktops. I normally have Eclipse running in desktop 5. The weird factors of the current state are this: If I move to each desktop, I find the Eclipse window. When I click on that wind...

Re: Win7/Dexpot doesn't notify for window changes in desktop
As I suspected, this doesn't really do much. It doesn't result in the taskbar unhiding, and even the highlight that results is barely noticeable.

Re: Win7/Dexpot doesn't notify for window changes in desktop
Yes, but I had deactivated it because I started using the desktop preview window. I prefer to have 9 desktops in a 3x3 configuration, and I prefer to auto-hide the taskbar. Those two factors made the taskbar pager impractical. I will try it again with some alternative configurations. I have a feelin...

Win7/Dexpot doesn't notify for window changes in desktops
Although I want my application windows separated into workspaces/desktops, I need the taskbar to list all of my application windows, no matter what desktop they are in. This is entirely because I need to know if there was a "significant" window update for any of the applications, most impo...

Icon disappeared from taskbar, how to get it back?
At some point in my current session, the Desktop icon (that lets me preview the thumbnails of the desktops) disappeared from the taskbar, even though the other pieces of Dexpot are still running. I imagine that if I rebooted, I would get it back, but I'd prefer not to do that. Any idea what operatio...

Re: Applications duplicating in multiple desktops
Just so it's clear, I assumed that the OP was referring to application windows, and that's what my reply refers to. This last reply appears to be talking about the desktop icons. I personally never even considered that Dexpot would have a separate set of desktop icons for each workspace.

Re: Applications duplicating in multiple desktops
This is my primary problem with Dexpot. It gets very messy when this happens, and it happens extremely often.

Re: Problems with modal dialogs spawned from other workspace
Where is that "Behaviour of windows on other desktops" option you refer to? I can't find it in the Dexpot options.

Problems with modal dialogs spawned from other workspaces
The only minor annoyance I have with Dexpot is the following scenario: I have four workspaces. In two workspaces is a single window associated with separate apps. In one workspace (call it "A") I start a process that takes a little while. At the end of that process it will bring up an appl...

Re: Define shortcut key for moving up/down
Ok, but this still isn't clear. There doesn't appear to be any configuration dialog for this plugin, or any instructions that tell me what new functionality it provides. I have it installed, but it doesn't appear to do anything. I would think the Dexpot documentation would have a list of known plugi...

Define shortcut key for moving up/down
If I add the taskbar plugin, I can create a configuration with multiple rows. I can also use keyboard shortcuts to move between desktops. However, I only have the option to move to the left or the right. If I have multiple rows, I'd like to be able to move to the desktop above or below the current o...
