Re: dock on multiple workspaces
I'm digging this post up because I too have a problem with running Dexpot and RocketDock simultaneously. On my system, RocketDock launches at system startup. I do not always launch Dexpot. But each time I do, I realize that I can no longer use the dock: the dock's image remains on screen on all four...

Re: Remember open windows in each desktop on restart
Well, I forgot to add that a better idea is to have the window stacks to be kept after desktop switches: if I move from one desktop, I would like to find the same configuration when I get back it.

Re: Remember open windows in each desktop on restart
This is way beyond a desktop switching app. You are essentially asking for a "big brother" application that would monitor everything on your system, record and interpret mouse clicks and keystrokes and even guess that in this program, Cttrl-F12 means "Open file" while in another ...

Re: Testing report
Well, I resized the wallpapers. The fullscreen desktop preview is much faster now, nearly as much as "with no wallpaper and no icons at all". No speed gain at switching... same lags as when I complained in a previous message.

Re: Testing report
Metz, thank you for your insight.
On my system, custom resolution is inactive and, in desktop configuration, all desktops share the same resolution, which is is 1440x900. You brought me the idea that 3 of the 4 wallpapers are 1024x768. I'll change them to the screen resolution and see what happens.

Re: Testing report
:dex: Yes I do use different wallpapers, but I still think that there is more to gain in terms of speed. So, did you try with the same wallpaper on every desktop? Just to see how much of a difference it makes. Done the test right now: blazingly fast when no wallpaper at all is set (I mean no deskto...

Quiet exit when resuming from standby or hibernation
Hi, I happened to notice that sometimes, when waking my laptop up from standby (RAM alive, with the battery still on but everything is shutdown) or hibernation (nothing alive, no power on, the battery can be taken out of the laptop, but memory state is dumped to HDD), Dexpot is just dead. (I use sta...

Testing report
Hi all, I have been using dexpot 1.4.1, build 532, for around two weeks now. I have noted two things that bug me. I report them here: 1- the speed issue: I just wish things went faster when switching desktops. I am using a 1440x900 laptop with a 2.0 Ghz Core 2 Duo processor. But I still have to wait...

Re: dock on multiple workspaces
Hi, you may also create a desktop rule, which is what I did with RocketDock and Oxygenator (a discontinued 1999 freeware that displays memory consuption as a small bar). I have one rule for each program. The rules are applied automatically and the action I chose was to copy to all desktops. It works...
