Re: Automatic Profile Saving Every X Minutes
Where is the profile-in-use stored? I could just make a backup of that. I see back up profiles are stored in AppData\Roaming\Dexpot\Profile\.The other files there are propstore, standard.dxi, User.dxi.

Re: Automatic Profile Saving Every X Minutes
This issue has bitten me twice since I last posted! Is there any solution available other than manually opening settings and saving the profile? Anyway to automate this at all? Is the current profile settings stored somewhere so that I can back them up manually? Is there a command line option for sa...

Re: Automatic Profile Saving Every X Minutes
If there is a command line option for saving the current profile to a new file, I could get by with just writing a script and scheduling it, but I think this should probably be a feature in the program itself since it helps with crash recovery.

Automatic Profile Saving Every X Minutes
I suggest that automatic profile saving be implemented (in addition to manually saving the profile or saving on exit). I use Customize Desktop Icons > Create a separate folder for each desktop. So each desktop has its own icons. Dexpot starts with my PC and my PC does not go down very often (once or...

Re: Add C&P to "Create a Seperate Folder for Each Desktop"
Is there any update on this?
I tried out a few copy programs and (very surprisingly) nearly all were able to copy between desktop folders, but each usurped windows native copying and had to be running all the time. Try Teracopy to see copying between desktops working. I hope this can help.

Add C&P to "Create a Seperate Folder for Each Desktop"
It would be * awesome * if you could support natural copy and pasting (right click or by keyboard shortcuts ctrl+c / ctrl+v) across desktops with the "Create a Separate Folder for Each Desktop" option. This would be a killer feature for Dexpot - no other program really offers this even in ...

Re: Questions about multiple desktops with icons
Thanks for answering the questions, Patrick. After evaluating the software more, I prefer the "create each desktop as a different folder" option over "create a shared folder for all desktops" because it makes desktops easier to move and manage in the filesystem/explorer. (The for...

Questions about multiple desktops with icons
I finally tried dexpot, it's definitely a program that improves productivity. Great job to the creator! It is by far the best multiple desktop app I have tried, and I have tried many. I have a few questions and feature suggestions after going through the program though. 1) are more than 4 desktops a...
