Re: start-up question
Another annoyance I've noticed is that the icons are re-aligned a few pixels left of where they normally should be, so that some of the name is hidden off-screen, especially if the icon has a long name. It's a tiny detail, but extremely annoying after a while. And as described in the first post, sta...

start-up question
Having set-up my four desktops, I've populated them with folders and shortcuts. When restarting the laptop, or even just coming out of sleep mode, the main desktop is populated with all these folder and shortcuts. After some time (30 seconds for a restart, 10 seconds for sleep mode), they are then r...

Re: desktop manager drag and drop has stopped working
> When exactly? After I rebooted. 'App crash' error randomly whilst running it. Both the main executable and the cube plugin were crashing separately. Plus, rebooting didn't solve the drag and drop issue either. Having just looked at the alternatives again though, I will give Dexpot another go as it...

I get a black circle with a bar through it when trying to drop any object onto it.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Re: Why do some programs get sent to the other desktop?
Thanks. As you suggested, waiting solved the problem. I have noticed quite a few other inconsistencies of behaviour though, especially with regard to programs in the taskbar tray area: For instance, double clicking the Outlook 2007 tray icon sometimes switches to the correct desktop, but it mostly j...

Why are some programs sent to other desktops? [solved]
On Desktop 1, I start Word 2007. I switch to Desktop 2. I start another instance of Word 2007. It begins (splash screen) but then gets moved over to Desktop 1. I have to manually move it back to Desktop 2. Why?! I opened it on Desktop 2, so shouldn't it stay on Desktop 2? I don't have the same probl...
