I did this and it seemed to fix it for all desktops. Haven't tried to restart yet to see what happens, but I thought you would like to know.

Press Windows key + X
Click Task Manager
Select the Processes tab
Scroll down to Windows Explorer then select it
Click Restart

Hello,
This is similar to http://dexpot.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4257

On Win10 when I open the start menu and start typing (for search) it only works on desktop1.
If I am at another desktop, the moment I start typing the start menu disappears. I can find on Desktop1 where I can continue typing.
