yes. And I already tried that. Works fine. Without crashing the Explorer.
What 3rd party software are you running?

advanced system care 5
bitdefender total security 2012
stardock fences
these programs run always on ma system with dexpot 1.6
I tried removing "fences" and then using dexpot but still problem is arising...
&
&
Dexpot plugins dexcube & mouse events & option "keep all taskbar buttons visible"
U must exit dexpot 1.6 after doing what i said to see explorer restart...

while running dexpot just change the size of windows 7 taskbar(by going in windows 7 taskbar properties and then changing it to "use small icons" and then again revert this change and exit the dexpot)
it makes windows explorer to restart i hope u got it what i said....

Oh, no, you really don't want to assign Explorer. Delete the assignment and see if that fixes the problem.

i assigned applications
desktop 1:Google Chrome
desktop 2:DC++
desktop 3:Windows Media Player,Zune
desktop 4:Windows explorer,Foxit PDF reader

I use taskbar on top of the screen and with the option (use small icons) and also used task pager,
after assigning all these apps the task pager reverts the taskbar to the normal size from slim version(use small icons) with the icons pinned on the taskbar having the small size but with broad taskbar that is normal version and not the slim version makin the explorer unresponsive on exiting dexpot

When i exit the dexpot after assigning all these apps to respective desktops with taskpager on taskbar...the windows explorer restarts...
