:dex:

What you see is the auto-repair feature of Windows Installer. When an application is launched, Windows Installer performs a health check in order to restore files or registry entries that may have been deleted. Such a health check is not only triggered by clicking a shortcut but also by other events, such as activation of a COM server. The events triggering a health check depend on the operating system.

Hey _i_,
I have the same issue. I think an old tool I had installed previously is connected somehow with dexpot. As you suggested, this "Labview" could be the possible anchor. Every time the program starts, the installer tries to reinstall this old tool. To my pitty, I use the guest account aswell...NO ADMIN RIGHTS! Very creepy.

dexpot programmed with labview???????

Post by _i_ » 24.09.2006 14:25:32

hello

when i launch dexpot, the LabView-Runtime Installer (labview is a developpement tool) is launched automatically.
dexpot is the only program i use that launches labview simultaneously.

i think there is a relation between the 2 applications (labview and dexpot).

could you confirm this?

thank you
