Switch to an app on a desktop without opening a new window

Post by jacobmatthew » 03.11.2014 21:36:25

I've assigned an app like Firefox to desktop 2. I've also setup a rule to switch to desktop 2 when I click on the firefox icon in the tray. However, in addition to switching to the desktop, it also opens up a new window of firefox. Is there a way to just switch to an open window of that app when I click on it? Basically I am trying to get this to work like Spaces does on Mac.

I am running on Windows 8.1
