Hi,
I know that this feature has been suggested before and turned down with the explanation that it is not possible to programmatically pin icons to the taskbar. However, Firefox and Chrome both have this feature so apparently there is some way around the restriction/feature that Microsoft implemented. I found a couple of suggestions online and will link to them below, hoping that they will be of some use. Maybe you have seen them both already, maybe you haven't.
