I'm not sure it is exactly the same problem, but a similar behavior is easily reproducible if a second instance of Notepad is launched on a different desktop. The sequence of steps is as follows

1. On the first desktop run Notepad. It becomes the active window.
2. Switch to another desktop (using Alt+2)
3. Launch Notepad on the second desktop. It becomes the active window there.
4. Switch to the first desktop (using Alt+1). The Notepad window is now inactive, but Windows makes the status bar entry for this Notepad to flash.

We tried it with Dexpot 1.6.10 and Office 2013 on Windows 8.1 but were unable to reproduce the problem.

Please enable the Dexpot log file, switch from a desktop running Word to another desktop and back, so that the problem occurs, and then send me the log.

they appear active but i can't type,
this has happened with onenote and word so far, i havent tested it with anything else yet.
this happens no matter whether i switch with the window catalog, a keyboard shortcut, or hot corners.

:dex:

Are the windows completely inactive or do they appear active (title bar highlighted) but you still can't type? Does this happen with every application (try Notepad) or just Office? How do you switch desktops?

Active window when switching desktop

Small issue i've been experiencing,
when i switch between desktops, to a desktop where the active window is any program in which i type (onenote, word etc'),
the window comes up, but keystrokes are not sent to it for some reason, so if for example im reading something on desktop 2 and summarizing on desktop 1, ill have to move the mouse to the window on desktop 1 and left click before i can begin typing, anyone ever encountered something like this?
