First Alt+Tab out of the game, then press the hotkey. Or try Mouse Wheel switching (from the MouseEvents plugin), which might still work. Or maybe AutoHotkey with a Dexpot command line option to switch desktops.

I am using the most recent version of Windows Dexpot on windows 7. When I am in a game of League of Legends, my hotkey used to switch desktops ( alt + ESC) does not work. How can I make it work?
