Makes sense. The feature only catches windows belonging to the process created by the startup command. If you have Dexpot 1.6 Beta, you should be able to use "Assign applications" to force iTunes to desktop 4.

Got it - issue is I'm actually using this freely available vbscript launched on D4 to start the itunes with a playlist, since apparently itunes doesn't offer such command line options. itunes just winds up on the active desktop in that case, while the script is probably correctly on D4.

:dex:

Does it work if you start Dexpot manually after Windows login?

Not sure if there is an etiquette for submitting issues but I'm sure someone will tell me if I'm breaking it.

I've searched the forum and read the known issues and haven't found record of same issue.

System is Win7, Home Premium SP1. Just installed Dexpot.de a couple days back.

I have dexpot set to start with windows, loading a profile called "customized" with 4 virtual desktops. Desktop #1 & #4 I have to launch processes on Dexpot launch.

Desktop #4 I have iTunes to start.
Desktop #1 I have Chrome to start.

For sure, iTunes will find its way onto the desktop which happens to be active when it starts, which isn't going to be the intended D4. Chrome, pretty much the same, but since that's to start on D1, it will land okay, unless I change Desktop while Chrome is launching.

Seems to me the Dexpot intends to CreateProcess, then hide the window if the DT is not active, but perhaps I shouldn't try to debug the code from here. I'll wait to see what you need.

Thanks
