Remove Icon caused a crash

Post by selden » 26.09.2010 19:22:03

While using the Desktop Windows utility to place icons on the four desktops, I selected Remove for an icon and the Desktop Windows utility crashed. Sorry, I don't recall the error message that it popped up.

Dexpot then started doing very strange things.
Icons that had previously been put on other desktops disappeared.
When I tried to switch from one desktop to another, it would go there and then immediately return to the initial desktop.

When I rebooted the computer, some icons which I had not been rearranging were missing entirely from desktop #1. All of the icons were missing from all of the other desktops. Fortunately, I found the missing icons in the Hidden menu.

I am using Dexpot v1.5.6, Build 1351, under Win7 Pro, x64.
This is the first time I've ever used Dexpot.
I had turned on Dexcube before I started rearranging the icons.
Dexcube was off after the computer rebooted. (I did not turn it off myself.)

I enabled logging after the reboot.
I left Dexcube off.
I have not been able to reproduce the problem, although I have rearranged icons on all four desktops.
