Desktop Icons change with different resolutions

Is there a way to keep the icon positions according to the different windows resolution? I was hoping to have two desktops, one at 1600x1200 and the other 2500x1600 with the same icons, but in their corresponding positions. Is this possible? If so, how would I do it?

I am running XP Pro on this PC
