Cool that did the trick.
Thanks Patrick

Open the Dexpot menu and select "Assign applications". Is there an entry assigning Sticky Notes to all desktops? If so, remove it and restart Sticky Notes.

Sorry for the wait. Don't often close everything down until I have too.

Ok. Please enable the Dexpot log file. Then
  • Exit Dexpot
  • If possible, also exit all other applications except Sticky Notes
  • Make sure at least one sticky note is visible
  • Start Dexpot
  • Switch to another desktop
  • Switch back to the initial desktop
  • Send me the log file

Just to make sure: We're talking about the Microsoft Sticky Notes app that comes with Windows 7 and up?

Typically through the update notifications

That's weird. If the notes show up in Desktop Preview, the ignore obviously doesn't work. But then they should disappear when switching desktops and not remain visible on all desktops.

How did you install the Dexpot update?

I did restart dexpot. Sticky Note is not visible on other desktop from desktop preview until I visit them. Similar behavior when adding a new note. They are not visible until I visit that desktop.

Did you restart Dexpot afterwards? Are Sticky Notes still visible on all desktops, i.e. when you add a new note and then switch desktops, does the note remain visible?

Try placing the file here: "C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Dexpot".

So I ended up using that file and worked until I updated. I check to see if the file was still there and it was. Anything that I can do from my end?

Cool Thanks a lot hopefully it'll just fix itself.

:dex:

No, there's no setting for that. But if you're okay with having Sticky Notes visible on all desktop, you can completely ignore them with the attached file. Save it to your Dexpot installation folder and restart Dexpot.

Sticky notes is bombarding my window catalog

Usually there is only one window for sticky notes. Instead there is one for each sticky note that I have.
Is there a setting for that some where because I can't find. Maybe I'm overlooking it.
