I just tried out Dexpot, but like every other virtual Desktop software I have tried, I found when trialling it that it was a bit buggy which is a real shame because there is a desperate need for a piece of software that nails the functionality.
That is not the reason for this topic though. I had been experimenting with having icons for my stuff on screen one, icons for my girslfriends stuff on screen 2 and icons for my daughters stuff on screen 3. When I decided that the programme just wasn't working as it should I uninstalled. When the desktop came back after uninstalling only my icons that had remained on screen one (the actual desktop) were still there. The icons that had been on virtual desktops screens 2 and 3 had completely disappeared!. Please tell me there is a way of getting these back as neither girlfriend or daughter are very happy with me at present. When I press uninstall I expect things to revert to the way they were - not lose scores of icons built up over a considerable period of time.
