I apologize if the solution can be found elsewhere on the forum, but I haven't seen it after searching it for hours.
I am using the latest version of Dexpot.
I have it set up with two desktops.
I am using Windows 8
When I am on desktop 1 and open a folder (e.g. downloads folder*), then move to desktop 2, the folder is not switched or copied to that desktop. This is exactly what I expect and hope for.
*I should add that I access the downloads folder directly by clicking on shortcuts placed on both desktops.
However, if I then open the same folder on the second desktop, then close it, it also gets closed on desktop 1.
I'm hoping there is a way to open separate instances of the same folder on both desktops and close them independently from one another. Since changes to the size of the folder window are also tranferred between desktops, I believe there is only one instance of the folder shared between desktops.
I have tried everything I could think of and every suggestion I found here to solve this issue, for instance, "Run as administrator" setting, uninstall/reinstall, restart, delete profiles, changing behavior of windows on other desktops, etc. I was using Windows XP until recently and if I'm not mistaken this behavior happened natively.
Thank you for making such a great program and thanks a lot for your time.
