Check Configure Desktops>Tools>Hide desktop components>Taskbar and the taskbar will be hidden on current desktop, but resized to 1 icon wide bar only on other windows. Upon unchecking the original taskbar size is not restored. One would expect the taskbar size not changed on other desktops, and original size restored upon unchecking.

This messes up one's taskbar/screen layout if the taskbar has been larger, for example 3 icons wide (to accommodate large amount of systray icons together with a large amount of taskbar pinned programs).
