"Fences border" as in "Fences" from Stardock? What do you mean by "refreshing"?

I have kept 5 virtual desktops and tried hiding desktop icons on first 4 virtual desktops but "fences" border is visible on first 4 of them when refreshing on any of the first 4 virtual desktops the desktop icons become visible again on the respective refreshed desktop...help...
