You do! The quick-start guide says,
Notice: this feature is not avalaible under all circumstances if you are using Windows Vista or 7 with UAC

And your sticky post Are there any known issues? says

Customize desktop icons ... Won't work if UAC is activated and Dexpot runs as administrator in a standard user-account

In addition I cannot follow the instructions in the quick-start guide to

Open the main menu. Pick “Desktop Manager” from the list. Right-click a free area. A
supplemental menu pops up. Click “Show additional button”.

as, no matter where I right-click, I just get the relevant context menu for that desktop element. I cannot get to Show additional button

Dexpot is a remarkable piece of software, but the feature I am most interested in using - having a different set of icons per desktop - is known not to work on my Windows 7 64-bit system. Is there any hope of getting this fixed, or is there an essential problem with UAC that prevents it working?
