:dex:,

your case is different it seems. Let Dexpot switch to Desktop 1 (Behaviour of windows on other desktops). The browser won't let you open the tab in the second instance.

I have the same problem. Even if I have a browser window open in each desktop, when I click a link it opens the link in a tab in the desktop where I opened the browser first. For example, I have IE set to open a link in "a new tab in the current window". In may daily work flow, let's say that I open IE in Desktop 1. I later open IE in Desktop 2. Later, I'm chatting w/ someone (Google Talk) in Desktop 2 and they send me a link. I click on the link. Nothing appears to happen. In fact, the link did open but in the IE instance in Desktop 1.

In your original answer you stated to "set up your browser to do so". To do what? How?

Thanks in advance.

Opening links

Post by fran123456 » 20.11.2009 10:18:05

Good morning.
I have a problem every time I open a link to the Internet.
When I open the browser on a desktop and I am in another, when I open a link in "desktop 2" is opened in the browser is open (desktop 1). I would like it to open it on the desktop where I am, not in the desktop where the browser is open.
Thanks in advance.
