Sorry I have not posted back to this problem. When I run the "Dexpot Updater program" or check for current version via "About" it is telling me that the my installed version is the newest version available (1.5.1.1109). I do see that the current version on your website is 1.5.5 Build 1302. So I guess something is wrong with the updater program. It has worked in the past and I have not made any firewall changes. I have downloaded the 1.5.5 Build 1302 version.

Understand that this problem has only started after I installed Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise.

This is the first version I have used, so I don't know if it happened with previous versions. I have restarted the computer since installing Dexpot.

I do frequently activate windows from other desktops, most notably when I click a link in a program (such as Outlook) and Chrome moves an existing window into my current desktop.

has this happened only with previous versions?
Do you activate windows on other desktops frequently?

Have you restarted your PC since updating Dexpot to the current version?

I am having the same problems. I have noticed that when leaving applications for awhile on a background desktop, their interfaces simply disappear. I have had it happen with several different programs (the ones I remember are: e-texteditor, firefox, chrome, and the Google App Engine Launcher).

I am running Win7 x64 Pro with Dexpot 1.5.5 build 1302. I currently have two monitors, but I am not sure if it is related to that.

This problem has just started to happen since I moved from Windows XP to Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit OS. I have three programs in particular that I have a problem where they are running but I can not get focus to their interface. The programs are Opera, Skype and RocketDock. It is a real big problem for Opera and Skype. Opera because I have 8 application Unit servers running and I can only right click the Opera icon in the system tray to exit. I have a lot of people on those servers that will not be happy campers. For Skype I have to do the same thing. I have a real Phone number with Skype and this is my only phone. The RocketDock I have to kill the process because there is no way to exit it.

The graphical front ends for these programs are not displayable. Even if I exit Dexpot I can see their Icons in the system tray and click to display there program windows and nothing happens. They must have a hidden address\handle in virtual land... lol
