:dex:,

there's a nifty option in 'Settings/Plugins and Extras/Behavior of windows on other desktops' but I'm not sure whether it covers all your problems.

If it doesn't, you could set up a rule that you apply manually each time windows pop up on the wrong desktop.

Behavior of windows on other desktops

Hi guys, I think I have another explanation of what is happening based on my experience with Poker Stars software.

Basically, I need to be able to have two or more desktops, each with (let's say for example) four tables. Now, I can make this work by setting Poker Stars to NOT activate/bring to foreground any table that needs my attention, but I would RATHER let it do this, because it makes it easier to ensure I don't miss an action on an off-screen desktop.

SO basically what happens now if I enable it is, the table shows immediately on the desktop I am on (i.e., it barges in). Sometimes it still switches to the other desktop (where the original window was), but the "copy" remains on the other one, making my separation of tables into multiple desktops useless.

Is there some way Dex Pot can intercept these window activate events and delay them until it switches to the proper desktop first? Then that would be great! (not sure how useful for the Scott Trader application one person mentioned - in that case, perhaps ideal case is to have an option to force that application into submission so it never takes foreground focus except from user interaction, and thus won't barge into other desktops? This is also the fix for the widgets' behavior, they are probably taking the foreground every so often, and thus over time, every widget will be on the current desktop, even if they were set to only display on other ones initially.)
