I did not see any double entry, nor did I see a single entry. I decided to remove Dexpot, for the 4th time and reinstall. This time, while there is still no entry in Task Scheduler, a reboot has only one icon on the Task Bar and msconfig shows in Startup only a single entry for Dexpot to startup at login.

Somehow, it is now resolved. Thank you for all of the support!

No, the issue is not resolved

1) There are no registry entries for Dexpot in the Run folder
2) The Dexpot application does not have Start with Windows checked
3) I cannot find anything "Dexpot" related while searching for "Task"
4) When I log in after boot, I see two Dexpot icons in the task bar

I select 'Start' and enter 'task' in the Search Programs and Files field and I do not see any results that include the string, 'Dexpot', including folders. I did take time to explore the Task Scheduler in case that this is where I was supposed to look.

Thank you for the feedback!

That ghost of yours is probably living in the Windows Task Scheduler, that's used for starting Dexpot with admin privileges. There's a bug in the build you're using which prevents removal of the scheduler entry when deactivating the auto-start option.

Believe it or not, I did do this several days ago, as well as the other one for which I could not elaborate. I have a ghost in my machine.

I am running Dexpot 1.5.0, Build 1042 on Windows 7 64-bit.

Dexport starts up when I log in and I have two task-bar icons and two dexpot.exe processes running. Searching the registry, I had found that it was starting in two locations

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and a similar path down HKEY_USER

I went into settings and unchecked Start with Windows and yet, I still have two taskbar icons and two dexpot.exe processes running as well as a Dexpot64.exe process.

I used msconfig to check what which starts up when I login, but Dexpot is not in there.

I have Dexpot configured so that the taskbar icon displays the desktop number. When I use ALT-2 to switch desktops, it takes about 30 seconds for this to complete to where I can see changes to the taskbar. Only one of the two icons is displaying "2". The other is displaying "1". When I exit from the "1", this terminates one of the dexpot.exe processes and the Dexpot64.exe process
