Hi,

i've found a trick to do that. It is not absolutely what I wanted to do, but it works.

  • Go to http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.html
  • put the files in a folder, like c:\0\nircmd for example.
  • go to Desktop Configuration
  • in the start tab, enter in the Command Field the following command : "c:\0\nircmd\nircmd.exe mutesysvolume 1" (without the quotes)
  • in Event, select Every Exit, in Close select Never
  • Apply

So, when you exit the desktop, the general sound mutes, it helps.

I would like to only mute the sound coming from the applications present in the exiting desktop, but I don't find how to do that.

Can't you just store the value of the current sound level for each desktop between switches and set it accordingly?

Hello,

I'm a new user of Dexpot and I want to do something, I'm not sure if it's posible. Let me explain, I'm surfing the web, looking some videos where I work (bad\very bad), and I'd like to be able to switch to another desktop where the sound is mute.

I have tried the desktops configuration but didn't find any feature relative to the sound.

This kind of trick would so save my life sometimes : Windows key + right, Tada it's another world  . Thanks in advance for your answers (and sorry for my english)
