If you can figure out why it works for you but not for us, we will enable the feature again.

Well, installed 1.5 on a Vista machine - the small icons are still grayed-out, so I assume that the feature has been taken out in the latest release - which defenitely is not a good thing.

However, if I install 1.4 (where the feature is available) and then upgrade to the latest, small icons do show as checked, albeit still grayed out, and yes, the desktop icons are shown in the blessed list view.

If small icons feature was taken out on purpose, please consider restoring in as soon as feasible, because, I dare say, this piece of functionality is more valuable than the flashy 3-D cubes and other good-for-nothing whistles and blows.

First, the feature was working fine under Win7 before reinstall.
Second, I can't imagine that small desktop icons is something that lacks support under Win7.

At any rate, is the statement that small icons are not going to be supported in Win7 final and authoritative?

:dex:,

this is feature "Desktop Tools available in relation to Windows version". If options don't work properly with your Windows version, they are grayed out.

Had Dexpot working fine on Win7, worked just fine. For a ceratain reason, did a clean re-install of the OS, and then a virgin install of Dexpot. "Configure desktops"->Tools tab->Small icons and Transparent icon names now come up grayed-out, all other things being equal as far as I can tell. Any ideas?
