The only way I know to fix this is to tell Firefox to not bring itself to focus at all when links are clicked. To do so, go into about:config and set browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground to true.

Prevent Firefox from moving to desktop where link is clicked

Hi,

In my email tool, thunderbird, when I click on a link, the link is meant to open a new tab in Firefox. I would like to keep firefox in the virtual desktop that it resides in, and when I click on a link in thunderbird, I do not want Firefox to be copied over to the new virtual desktop.

Is there anything I can do to prevent this action.

In the mean time I wrote a rule that will close the firefox window in the Email desktop which I have to manually invoke. Automatic rule application does not seem to work.

Thanks...Amro
