Nmittag Valery. :dex:

No, you're not doing anything wrong. Console windows behave strange in many ways. For some mysterious reason Windows hooks don't get notified of new windows created by cmd.exe. At the moment there is no way to apply rules to them automatically. This is also why Dexpot entries won't appear in the the system menus of console windows...

Desktop Rules for console windows?

Post by Valery_Kondakoff » 14.01.2005 12:19:31

Hi!

I'm trying to set up the Dexpot 1.3.0 on my WinXP PRO SP2 machine and have found some strange thing: desktop rules are not working with console windows.

Here is an example: I'm creating a rule with condition: 'Executable is cmd.exe' and action: 'Copy to all desktops'. This rule does not seems to work when I open the Command prompt.

If I change the rule to: 'Executable is notepad.exe' - 'Copy to all desktops' - it works well with the Notepad window.

What is the problem there? Am I doing smth wrong?

Thank you!
